Michael Kelly , CFP®, MS

Bio

Michael plays several key roles at Procyon, serving as a Partner, Financial Advisor, and the Director of the Virginia Beach office. Leading the Financial Planning group, he is responsible for developing and maintaining systems and processes that specialize in providing financial services and guidance to high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners.

Michael’s passion for finance began during his time as a 7th grade math teacher in 1998. He later transitioned his career to focus on finance, returning to his hometown of Virginia Beach. There, he worked as a financial consultant with an international brokerage firm before joining a Virginia-based independent money management firm. During his tenure there, Michael provided financial planning and investment management advice to his clients and played a significant role in establishing the firm’s financial planning services department. In 2017, he joined Pivotal Planning Partners, which later merged with Procyon.

As a Certified Financial Planner® professional, Michael demonstrates his expertise and commitment to excellence in the field of financial planning. He holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Old Dominion University, further strengthening his knowledge and qualifications.

With his diverse roles, certifications, and educational background, Michael brings valuable insights and guidance to his clients at Procyon. His passion for finance, combined with his dedication to providing tailored financial services, enables him to assist individuals, families, and business owners in achieving their financial goals.

Outside of work, Michael resides in Virginia Beach and enjoys activities such as golfing, fishing, and spending quality time with his family and friends. He has a deep-rooted loyalty to his birthplace of Denver, CO.
