Phil has more than 20 years of experience in providing investment consulting services to both institutions and high net worth individuals. Prior to co-founding Procyon Partners, Phil was a Senior Vice President of Wealth Management at UBS where he was also a member of the Institutional Consulting Group and its Advisory Council, a Senior Institutional Consultant and a Senior Retirement Plan Consultant. He also served as Co-Chair of the UBS Corporate Development Advisory Board and its Retirement Advisory Council. Phil has twice been recognized by 401KWire as one of the Nation's 300 Most Influential Advisors in the Defined Contribution Arena, by the Financial Times as one of their Top 400 US Advisors (2014), and as one of Barron's Top 1,200 Financial Advisors (2015). Phil is also a frequent speaker at many national retirement conferences. Additionally, Phil is a member of the NYC Columbus Citizens Foundation, sits on the Western Connecticut Health Network (WCHN) Development Fund Board, its governance committee, and is also a member of the Danbury Health Systems Board of Directors and its Strategic Development Committee. Jeff has more than 18 years of experience guiding both individual and institutional clients’ wealth through multiple market cycles. Prior to co-founding Procyon Partners, Jeff worked at the FDG Group at UBS, serving as a Senior Portfolio Manager, Wealth Advisor, Institutional Consultant and Senior Retirement Plan Consultant. Prior to UBS he worked at Merrill Lynch for a decade as both an advisor and a resident director running an office of advisors. A decorated veteran, Jeff earned his B.S. degree at the U. S. Coast Guard Academy and an M.B.A. from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA. Committed to lifelong learning, Jeff holds the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®), and the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) designations. He is currently on the Board of Directors of the CFP Board in Washington, DC. and is past President of the Financial Planning Association’s Fairfield County Chapter. Lou Gloria, CRPC®, CRPS®
Partner, Managing Director
Lou specializes in two key areas: developing retirement planning strategies with a broad range of private clients and providing consulting services to retirement plan sponsors and their investment committees. As a trusted advisor, Lou spends much of his time working with business owners, medical professionals and executives, helping to simplify their financial life by providing financial solutions that are tailored to addressing their unique goals and aspirations. As a retirement plan consultant, Lou also works closely with plan sponsors and investment committees in overseeing their qualified and non-qualified retirement plans. Lou has more than 15 years of industry experience, and prior to co-founding Procyon Partners, earned the certified designations of Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) and a Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS®) from the College for Financial Planning℠. Lou graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.S. degree in Finance and starting in the financial services industry, Lou had a six-year career on the professional tennis tour. Lou has a passion for all things sports, gardening and resides in Orange, Connecticut with his wife and their two children.
Thomas Gahan, CRPS®
Partner, Managing Director
Tom has more than 20 years of experience in the retirement industry, dedicating his time to serving the needs of institutional clients through a focus on effective plan design, investment management, and participant education for both qualified and non-qualified retirement plans. Prior to co-founding Procyon Partners, Tom worked at the FDG Group at UBS and was a member of the company’s Institutional Consulting and Retirement Plan Consulting Groups. Before FDG, he worked in the Retirement Financial Services division at HSBC Bank USA, where he was recognized for his innovative plan design strategies and was invited to serve for multiple cycles as a member of the company’s prestigious President’s Council. Tom has earned designation as a Certified Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS®), as a Chartered Financial Consultant and as a Chartered Life Underwriter. He is a graduate from SUNY Stony Brook with a B.A. degree in Economics. Tom resides in New York with his wife and their three children and enjoys golfing and attending his children’s sporting events.
Christopher E. Foster, CIMA®, CRPS®
Partner, Managing Director
Chris has over 10 years of industry experience and prior to co-founding Procyon Partners, Chris served as a Senior Wealth Strategist, Institutional Analyst, and Senior Retirement Plan Consultant for the FDG Group at UBS Financial Services. He was also a member of the firm’s Institutional and Retirement Plan Consulting Groups. As a Partner at Procyon, he leads the firm’s investment analyst group while helping clients understand how analytics, retirement plan design and fiduciary best practices can help improve employee retirement outcomes and mitigate organizational risk. Chris is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and holds a B.S. degree in Finance and a B.A. degree in Political Science. He has also earned designations as a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) through the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and a Certified Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS®) through the College for Financial Planning.℠ He works with both qualified and non-qualified plans sponsored by many of the nation’s top companies, who leverage his expertise in portfolio construction, investment manager research, and fiduciary governance. Paul has spent his entire career in the financial services industry. He has over thirty years of experience consulting with corporations, executives, business owners and high net worth families. Paul’s expertise includes corporate and executive benefit planning, financial planning, insurance risk management, wealth management, wealth transition planning, estate planning and legacy planning. Paul has worked with large corporations and their executives as well as closely held private firms. In addition to corporate clients, Paul works with wealthy individuals and families on wealth management and transition strategies. Paul offers a unique perspective, broad experience and wisdom to raise awareness of new possibilities for his clients. Paul enjoys working with families on multi-generational planning. Paul earned a B.A. from Washington & Lee University and holds the Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA®) designation, the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) designation, the Charter Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation, the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation, the Registered Employee Benefit (REBC) designation and the Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) designation. Paul and his wife Christine split their time between Ridgefield, CT and Naples, FL. They enjoy golf, exercise, culinary arts, and traveling with their four sons.
Charles “Chad” Pouliot, CRPC®
Senior Vice President, Private Wealth Advisor
A Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) and experienced investment advisor, Charles (Chad) Pouliot recently joined Procyon Institutional Partners. As Senior Vice President at Procyon, he provides wealth management services to distinguished clientele including athletes, celebrities, entertainers, entrepreneurs, and other high-net-worth individuals, as well as corporations and non-profit organizations. Chad Pouliot focuses on key principles such as fiduciary responsibility and the client experience. Prior to joining Procyon, Chad Pouliot spent many years with Merrill Lynch as a Financial Advisor and Senior Vice President of wealth management. In addition to serving clients, he also helped train other financial advisors in methods of seeking out new market opportunities and delivering an exceptional customer service experience. A graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, Chad Pouliot earned his bachelor's degree in Economics Management. He founded the school’s Entrepreneurship Club and served as its President. He also competed in NCAC Division championships as a player on the men's lacrosse team. He continues to enjoy playing lacrosse in his leisure time along with golfing and spending time with friends and family.
Amber Kendrick, CPFA®, CRPS®
Vice President, Retirement Plan Consultant
For over 10 years, Amber has focused on helping America’s workforces retire on their own terms. As a retirement plan consultant, she works closely with plan sponsors designing plans to promote retirement readiness for their employees. In 2017, Amber was recognized by the National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA) as a Top advisor under 40 (a.k.a. "young guns"), and added to the top female advisor list in 2018, 2017 and 2016. She was featured in Employee Benefit Adviser Magazine as one of 2015’s Rising Stars in advising. Hartford Business Journal has recently recognized her on their top 40 under 40 list. Amber exemplifies her dedication to the industry by holding her Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist (CRPS®) and Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA®) designations. Amber is a graduate of East Carolina University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. With her southern roots, she loves college football and coaches her niece’s cheerleading squad. She resides in Haddam, CT with her fiancé, two stepchildren, and fun loving dog Ernest.
Caroline Wetzel, CFP®, AWMA®

As a Private Wealth Advisor, Caroline is passionate about equipping her clients with information and tools to make informed financial decisions. Through financial planning, Caroline assists clients in defining financial goals and determining how to achieve them. Prior to joining Procyon Partners as a Private Wealth Advisor, Caroline worked at UBS for nearly 16 years in both the United States and Switzerland, spending her last 2 years specializing in the development of comprehensive financial plans for affluent individuals, couples, and multi-generational families. Caroline earned her B.S. degree in Policy Analysis and Management at Cornell University and holds an M.B.A. in Finance and Advanced Certification in Marketing from the University of Connecticut School of Business. She also holds the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) and Accredited Wealth Management Advisor (AWMA®) designations. Caroline resides in Milford, Connecticut with her husband and enjoys community organizing, social justice initiatives, practicing mindfulness & wellness activities, as well as boating with family and friends.
Richard J. Appaluccio
Senior Education Consultant
Rich has over 20 years of financial experience with the last 10 years being dedicated to retirement focused financial services. He has in-depth knowledge of a broad range of employer retirement plans, but specializes in working with Governmental 457(b) Plans. As a Senior Education Consultant, Rich supports employees in a multitude of way include Plan enrollment, investment allocation, and preparing them for retirement after employment. Prior to joining Procyon Partners, Rich worked with the FDG Group at UBS, Prudential Retirement Services, and as a wholesaler for Alliance Bernstein covering all financial channels. He graduated from Albright College with a bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing and was a member of the football team as a straight-on place kicker. Rich has a passion for all things sports, especially baseball, and resides in Little Falls, NJ with his wife and son.
Robert Ossers, CFP®, CRPC®
Senior Wealth Strategist
Rob joined Procyon Partners as a senior education consultant and investment analyst. Prior to joining Procyon, Rob began his career at Northwestern Mutual as an associate financial representative and joined the FDG Group with UBS Financial Services, Inc. in 2014 as an investment associate. While at UBS, Rob traveled around the country, delivering financial education presentations for the team’s institutional clients on a wide range of financial topics. Rob’s areas of focus include comprehensive financial planning, asset allocation, investment manager research and selection and performance reporting. Along with currently leading the team’s financial education strategy, Rob also manages Procyon’s social media marketing and directs the team’s financial plan development group for retirement plan participants. Rob graduated from Western Connecticut State University with a B.S. degree in Finance from the Ancell School of Business where he currently serves as a mentor for students aspiring to work in the finance industry. He has also earned the designation as a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) from the College for Financial Planning℠ and holds the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation. Rob currently resides in Danbury, CT with his fiancée Diana and in his spare time, enjoys staying physically active, traveling and trying new restaurants.
Mark Rich
Investment Analyst
Prior to joining the Procyon Partners team, Mark graduated from Bryant University in 2017, majoring in Finance and Economics. While at Bryant, Mark served as the head of the Macroeconomic Committee for the Archway Investment Fund, was a consistent member of the Dean’s List, and participated in the Boston Federal Reserve Challenge and the CFA Institute Research Challenge. Prior to joining Procyon, Mark gained two years of industry internship experience at The Virtus Group and Strategic Retirement Partners. Mark’s primary areas of focus include investment manager research, portfolio construction, asset allocation, financial planning and performance reporting. Mark currently resides in Hamden, Connecticut, and enjoys watching his favorite sports teams in his free time.
Chris Bunero
Investment Analyst
Chris joined the Procyon analyst team after graduating from Muhlenberg College in June, 2017. With a B.S. degree in Finance and Economics, Chris also served as a two-time varsity captain of the baseball team, and was regularly placed on the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll and dean’s List throughout his tenure as a college athlete. Prior to beginning his career with Procyon, Chris interned as a Global Financial Analyst for Greenwich Harbour Capital, conducting research on global capital markets. Chris’ primary areas of focus include investment manager research, portfolio construction, asset allocation, financial planning and performance reporting. Chris currently resides in New Haven, CT, and enjoys working out in his free time.
Deirdre Nealon
Senior Client Service Associate
Deirdre has more than 13 years of experience cultivating and maintaining close working relationships with high net worth clients. After studying Psychology at Rollins College, Deirdre started a career in finance. She began in Operations at Merrill Lynch, but quickly realized that she wanted to shift her focus to working more closely with clients. During her tenure at Merrill Lynch, she tended to a large range of client service and administrative needs. Deirdre was also appointed as a coach to her peers providing guidance, overseeing firm initiatives and ensuring success. She was also a member of the office “fun committee” and organized many team building and fundraising events each year. Deirdre has a long record of consistently going above and beyond to ensure tasks are executed in a timely fashion with the utmost professionalism and precision. Deirdre currently lives in Bridgeport, CT and enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her family and friends.
Lisa Allen
Client Service Associate
Lisa is a Client Service Associate at Procyon Partners, acting as a liaison between the Financial Advisors and the valuable Clients we serve. Her knowledge of firm policy, procedures and technology allows her to effectively anticipate client needs, resolve their problems and follow-through to provide exceptional service. Prior to joining the Procyon team, Lisa spent her diverse career working as a Computer Programmer/Analyst, a Paraprofessional in the school system and a Financial Assistant. Lisa received a BS in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from Sacred Heart University. When not working, Lisa enjoys a good book and spending time with her family and friends. She resides in Orange, Connecticut with her husband, Clayton and their four children, Myles, Abigail, Anne Marie & Michael.
Melanie Artes
Receptionist & Office Manager
Melanie is a career receptionist, having served as the welcoming first impression and liaison, at such industries as, PepsiCo, Black and Decker, GAMA Aviation and NASDAQ. Prior to joining Procyon Partners, she was employed by Sun Products, a Henkel Company, as a Receptionist/Human Resources Associate. While at Sun Products, she also assisted with Talent Acquisition which further enabled her to hone her people skills amongst a multitude of individuals and departments. Melanie is the consummate professional and provides Procyon clients with exceptional customer service. Melanie resides in Derby with her husband Dan and a menagerie of cats and dogs. She enjoys weight training and running in her spare time so that she may indulge in her favorite passion, trying new restaurants.

A Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) and experienced investment advisor, Charles (Chad) Pouliot recently joined Procyon Institutional Partners. As Senior Vice President at Procyon, he provides wealth management services to distinguished clientele including athletes, celebrities, entertainers, entrepreneurs, and other high-net-worth individuals, as well as corporations and non-profit organizations. Chad Pouliot focuses on key principles such as fiduciary responsibility and the client experience. Prior to joining Procyon, Chad Pouliot spent many years with Merrill Lynch as a Financial Advisor and Senior Vice President of wealth management. In addition to serving clients, he also helped train other financial advisors in methods of seeking out new market opportunities and delivering an exceptional customer service experience. A graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, Chad Pouliot earned his bachelor's degree in Economics Management. He founded the school’s Entrepreneurship Club and served as its President. He also competed in NCAC Division championships as a player on the men's lacrosse team. He continues to enjoy playing lacrosse in his leisure time along with golfing and spending time with friends and family.

She was featured in Employee Benefit Adviser Magazine as one of 2015’s Rising Stars in advising. Hartford Business Journal has recently recognized her on their top 40 under 40 list. Amber is a graduate of East Carolina University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Prior to joining Procyon Partners as a Private Wealth Advisor, Caroline worked at UBS for nearly 16 years in both the United States and Switzerland, spending her last 2 years specializing in the development of comprehensive financial plans for affluent individuals, couples, and multi-generational families. Caroline earned her B.S. degree in Policy Analysis and Management at Cornell University and holds an M.B.A. in Finance and Advanced Certification in Marketing from the University of Connecticut School of Business. Rich has over 20 years of financial experience with the last 10 years being dedicated to retirement focused financial services. He has in-depth knowledge of a broad range of employer retirement plans, but specializes in working with Governmental 457(b) Plans. As a Senior Education Consultant, Rich supports employees in a multitude of way include Plan enrollment, investment allocation, and preparing them for retirement after employment. Prior to joining Procyon Partners, Rich worked with the FDG Group at UBS, Prudential Retirement Services, and as a wholesaler for Alliance Bernstein covering all financial channels. He graduated from Albright College with a bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing and was a member of the football team as a straight-on place kicker. Rich has a passion for all things sports, especially baseball, and resides in Little Falls, NJ with his wife and son.

Rob joined Procyon Partners as a senior education consultant and investment analyst. Prior to joining Procyon, Rob began his career at Northwestern Mutual as an associate financial representative and joined the FDG Group with UBS Financial Services, Inc. in 2014 as an investment associate. While at UBS, Rob traveled around the country, delivering financial education presentations for the team’s institutional clients on a wide range of financial topics. Rob’s areas of focus include comprehensive financial planning, asset allocation, investment manager research and selection and performance reporting. Along with currently leading the team’s financial education strategy, Rob also manages Procyon’s social media marketing and directs the team’s financial plan development group for retirement plan participants. Rob graduated from Western Connecticut State University with a B.S. degree in Finance from the Ancell School of Business where he currently serves as a mentor for students aspiring to work in the finance industry. He has also earned the designation as a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) from the College for Financial Planning℠ and holds the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation. Mark Rich

Prior to joining the Procyon Partners team, Mark graduated from Bryant University in 2017, majoring in Finance and Economics. While at Bryant, Mark served as the head of the Macroeconomic Committee for the Archway Investment Fund, was a consistent member of the Dean’s List, and participated in the Boston Federal Reserve Challenge and the CFA Institute Research Challenge. Prior to joining Procyon, Mark gained two years of industry internship experience at The Virtus Group and Strategic Retirement Partners. Mark’s primary areas of focus include investment manager research, portfolio construction, asset allocation, financial planning and performance reporting. Mark currently resides in Hamden, Connecticut, and enjoys watching his favorite sports teams in his free time.

Chris joined the Procyon analyst team after graduating from Muhlenberg College in June, 2017. With a B.S. degree in Finance and Economics, Chris also served as a two-time varsity captain of the baseball team, and was regularly placed on the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll and dean’s List throughout his tenure as a college athlete. Prior to beginning his career with Procyon, Chris interned as a Global Financial Analyst for Greenwich Harbour Capital, conducting research on global capital markets. Chris’ primary areas of focus include investment manager research, portfolio construction, asset allocation, financial planning and performance reporting. Chris currently resides in New Haven, CT, and enjoys working out in his free time.
Deirdre Nealon

Deirdre has more than 13 years of experience cultivating and maintaining close working relationships with high net worth clients. After studying Psychology at Rollins College, Deirdre started a career in finance. She began in Operations at Merrill Lynch, but quickly realized that she wanted to shift her focus to working more closely with clients. During her tenure at Merrill Lynch, she tended to a large range of client service and administrative needs. Deirdre was also appointed as a coach to her peers providing guidance, overseeing firm initiatives and ensuring success. She was also a member of the office “fun committee” and organized many team building and fundraising events each year. Deirdre has a long record of consistently going above and beyond to ensure tasks are executed in a timely fashion with the utmost professionalism and precision. Deirdre currently lives in Bridgeport, CT and enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her family and friends.

Lisa is a Client Service Associate at Procyon Partners, acting as a liaison between the Financial Advisors and the valuable Clients we serve. Her knowledge of firm policy, procedures and technology allows her to effectively anticipate client needs, resolve their problems and follow-through to provide exceptional service. Prior to joining the Procyon team, Lisa spent her diverse career working as a Computer Programmer/Analyst, a Paraprofessional in the school system and a Financial Assistant. Lisa received a BS in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from Sacred Heart University. When not working, Lisa enjoys a good book and spending time with her family and friends. She resides in Orange, Connecticut with her husband, Clayton and their four children, Myles, Abigail, Anne Marie & Michael.

Melanie is a career receptionist, having served as the welcoming first impression and liaison, at such industries as, PepsiCo, Black and Decker, GAMA Aviation and NASDAQ. Prior to joining Procyon Partners, she was employed by Sun Products, a Henkel Company, as a Receptionist/Human Resources Associate. While at Sun Products, she also assisted with Talent Acquisition which further enabled her to hone her people skills amongst a multitude of individuals and departments. Melanie is the consummate professional and provides Procyon clients with exceptional customer service. Melanie resides in Derby with her husband Dan and a menagerie of cats and dogs. She enjoys weight training and running in her spare time so that she may indulge in her favorite passion, trying new restaurants.
